The Solution :
Enersavers™ Controller was used to reduce the energy consumption of the AC induction motor generator set to the precise level required to perform the mechanical work. Since the Enersavers™ Controller is installed on the AC motor side of the MG Set, no compromise to the regulated operation of an elevator is involved. Installation was completed in approximately one hour. After installation, the Enersavers™ Controller requires no maintenance, monitoring, control, or adjustment.
Most notable prior to the installation of the Enersavers™ Controller was the high-energy consumption of the AC motor while the elevator was idle. Unusually high levels of amps were consumed while the AC motor of the MG Set was spinning without the DC generator engaged. The operating mode savings were even more dramatic. Although the percent of savings was less, the watts reduced were considerably more.
